Privacy Policy

Last updated 26 May 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how EVAYA Naturals ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit our website at https://evayanaturals.com, place an order in our store, or otherwise interact with our services (collectively, the "Services"). "You" and "your" refer to anyone whose information we collect — customers, website visitors, or anyone else who contacts us.

Please read this policy carefully. By using the Services you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — to reflect changes in our practices, our tools, or our legal obligations. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted by reasonable means.

What personal information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with us. We group it into three sources: what you give us directly, what we observe as you use the site, and what we receive from the third-party services that help us run the shop.

Information you give us directly

  • Contact details — your name, phone number, email address, and delivery address
  • Order information — the items you purchase, billing and shipping address, and payment confirmation details
  • Account information — your username, password, and security questions if you create an EVAYA account
  • Shopping activity — items you view, add to your cart, save, review, refer to friends, or buy, and any loyalty / Circle points attached to your account
  • Customer support information — anything you include when you message us on WhatsApp, email us, or submit our contact form

Some features need this information to work. You may choose not to share it, but parts of the Services may then be unavailable.

Information collected automatically as you use the site

We collect a small amount of information about your visit so the site works correctly and so we can improve it — device type, browser, IP address, the pages you view, and how you arrived at us. We use cookies and similar technologies for this. You can read more in the Cookies section below.

Information from third parties

  • Our payment processors collect payment details (card or mobile-money information, billing address) directly so they can charge you for orders. We only ever see the confirmation, never the full card number.
  • Our delivery partners receive the delivery address and contact phone for the order they are fulfilling.
  • Our hosting, analytics, and messaging providers may collect basic usage data on our behalf so we can keep the site fast and respond to your messages.

Any information we receive from a third party is handled in line with this Privacy Policy.

How we use your personal information

  • Fulfilling your orders — processing payment, packing and shipping, sending order confirmations, handling returns and exchanges, and maintaining your account
  • Customer support — replying to your messages, recommending products, and following up on issues you've raised
  • Improving the Services — understanding which products and pages people use most, fixing bugs, and making the site easier to use
  • Marketing, with your permission — sending occasional emails or WhatsApp messages about new products, drops, or promotions; you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by replying STOP to a WhatsApp message
  • Security and fraud prevention — detecting suspicious activity, protecting accounts, and meeting our legal obligations

Cookies

Like most websites, we use cookies — small files stored on your device — to make the site work, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used. Most browsers accept cookies by default; you can change that in your browser settings. Disabling cookies may break parts of the site such as the cart and account areas.

How we share personal information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with parties that help us run the shop, and only what they need to do their job. These typically include:

  • Payment processors, to collect and confirm payment
  • Delivery couriers, to deliver your order
  • Hosting, email, and messaging providers, to run the site and keep in touch with you
  • Analytics tools, to understand site usage in aggregate
  • Professional advisers (lawyers, accountants), where reasonably necessary

We may also disclose personal information to comply with a legal obligation, respond to a lawful request from public authorities, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of EVAYA Naturals, our customers, or others. If our business is ever transferred — through a merger, acquisition, or similar — your information may pass to the new owner subject to this policy.

User-generated content

You can post product reviews, comments, and other content through the Services. Anything you post in a public area is, well, public — we cannot control who sees it or what they do with it afterwards. Please be mindful of the personal information you choose to share.

Third-party websites and links

The Services may include links to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. If you click through, please review their privacy and security policies separately.

Children's data

The Services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can delete it.

Security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, but no system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending highly sensitive information through insecure channels.

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it — to provide the Services, comply with legal or accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over the personal information we hold about you. These rights are not absolute and may not apply in every situation.

  • Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to fix information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Deletion — ask us to delete information we no longer need
  • Portability — receive a copy of certain information in a portable format
  • Restriction — ask us to stop or limit how we use your information
  • Withdraw consent — where we rely on your consent, withdraw it at any time
  • Opt out of marketing — unsubscribe from promotional emails or messages at any time

To exercise any of these rights, contact us through /about#contact or message us on WhatsApp. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request, and we will reply within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about how we process your personal information, please tell us first — we will do our best to resolve it. If you remain unhappy, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

International transfers

Some of the third-party services we use to run the shop are based outside Uganda. Where we transfer your personal information across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards — including contractual protections — to keep your information secure.
